VCT Human Cell-based Technology

The second generation Apligraf^® will be the result of the VCT human cell based technology.  This "new" Apligraf^® will be equivalent to its predecessor in that it will have the same functions. The only difference is that the second generation product will be fabricated with all human components. This is accomplished by using the de novo extracellular matrix secreted by human dermal fibroblasts to fabricate the dermal portion of the construct, which is then epidermalized to create the all human bi-layered cell based treatment.
